Another week for the Trumansburg Girls Basketball program means another week of improvement and hard work for Coach Peterson's and Coach Flood's teams.

Tuesday brought a tough team in Watkins Glen, as the Lady Raiders were home at Wes Summerville Gymnasium to take on the experienced Senecas.

The JV girls were up first as they struggled moving the ball and were defeated by the aggressive Watkins Glen side. At the Varsity level, Watkins proved to be a dynamic team as they came out of the gate firing, scoring 27 points in the first quarter. They would not look back after that, claiming a 68-13 victory over the shorthanded Raiders. Coach Flood said that "injuries are killing us" but likes the way that his team is developing to the varsity level.

Friday night was a chance at redemption when the Raiders were home again, as they hosted the Dryden Purple Lions.

Coach Peterson and his JV girls fought a tough battle but ended up dropping another game at home. The varsity hit the floor in hopes to capture their first win of the season against their IAC North Rivals in Dryden. Despite the 49-22 loss, the Raiders played their "best game of the season" according to head coach Michael Flood. Offensively and defensively, things were working for the Raiders as the defense held the Dryden offense to under 10 points in two of the four quarters on Friday night.

The season is well underway, and although neither Trumansburg teams have a win, there is plenty to be positive about! Go Raiders!
