Torrential downpour, soggy playing field, and crazy wind.
Friday afternoon wasn't the greatest condition wise, but it was a stellar night to be a Trumansburg soccer player on the boys varsity soccer team.
The boys defeated the Walton Warriors 5-1. With solo goals from Luke Richards, Hudson Williamson, Evan Turkon and two goals from Andrew Stewart, the Raiders easily handled the ill-prepared Walton side. Defensively, the Raiders were firing on all cylinders, as back row leaders Cam Rider and Maybeck McCann swept away the Walton attackers.
The Raiders will have a tougher test on Tuesday where they take on Greene at home. Hopefully the boys will be recovered and ready to play a good, competitive side in Greene.
Please come out and support the boys as they push through these sectional playoffs!
Go Raiders!
