Wet, cold, and windy. For some, this is an uninviting trio, but to the Titans, it is welcomed as perfect conditions to go out and play under the lights in front of a packed house at South Seneca High School. The crowd was energetic and were eager to watch the young men claim a victory… and the Titans did not let them down. Not only did the Titans deliver a win, but they displayed an offensive showcase of the ages, putting up 52 points on the worn down Dundee defense.
In the past two Titans games, the team has scored a total of 77 points. Now that’s impressive. This offense outburst is thanks mainly in part to the five-headed monster of dual threat quarterback Caleb Ladd (Trumansburg), wide receiver Owen Baird (Trumansburg), human tank Mitch Denman (Trumansburg), speedster Maurecio Mercedes Riveria (Romulus) and juggernaut Eli Prosser (South Seneca).
Football is back in Trumansburg, and although it may be a joint team, the love and support for the Titans is radiating on and off the field all over. The Titans face Red Jacket at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Keep it up boys!
Go Titans Go!
